WOYWW

As you can see by previous posts I like to mention who has given me inspiration to post on a particular subject, and link them so that others know about them too.

Lindsey W.- The frugal crafter is one of my favorite go to spots when I feel overwhelmed and need to get  back on track.  She is funny and talented with a little wisdom thrown into her videos (kinda like a head slap Denozo style).

Last night as the cleaning began on my work station, and organization of crafting supplies I realized that Holy Cow I have so much stuff, I've been stuffing it into bins (5 x55 gallon to be exact).  Its time to thin - donate, use, give away or throw away.  As I was putting things into piles for those categories I realized that I had scrapped pages and never put them into albums.  Yes I immediately stop sorting and grabbed the nearest empty scrapbook and off we went.  2 hours later I had the most beautiful book - my boys immediately started looking thru it and commenting that yes they remembered all of the pictures.  What a wonderful conversation that was (my boys are 16 and 8).  Its great whenever you can get a teenager to say more that 3 words in a conversation.

Here are some pictures of the finished product.

It really was a great night.  Hope you enjoy and know that it is NEVER TO LATE to create memories.  Until next time - Happy Crafting.

Make over Sunday

I recently had this post up and somehow deleted it - oh well here is what I remember of it.

One of my favorite websites that I follow is Clip-n-Cuts, Vicky P is an amazing designer.  She created this card
One of the many things that I have come to learn about our "creative" sides is that we sometimes buy things and never use them, sad but true.  Another favorite creator - Lindsay Weirich (frugal crafter), loves to say "use what you have".  She is so right so with that in mind I took inspiration from Vicky with her "let it snow" trio of penguins and came up with a really cute take on the card (totally my opinion).

The snowmen (ok, people) and statement are from CTMH, the background is blue paper and the snow is just a white pen that has been dotted on the paper.  Thanks for visiting and listening to me ramble.  Happy crafting.

Pioneer Woman, dogs and doing something for yourself

One of my favorite bloggers Ree, The Pioneer Woman. has a list of 10 things (11 if you read the entire way thru) about what your blog should have and what you should do for yourself (you have to make those happen or things start to wiggle when you don't want them to).

Today's blog is about photographs of my pup Wicket. Wicket is twelve years old, loves to sit at my feet or really just relax in his bed, but it right at my feet under the computer desk.

He is in dire need of a bath and a shave. The bath will come later this afternoon and his shave when he heads to the groomers later this week.   Right now we are going to do something for the both of us and go for a walk - yes it snowed here last night, yes its cold outside but if I don't get up and do something I will be stiff from lack of movement.  I'll take some picutres of the snow, how much the pup loves being outside and a brief description when I get back.  Oh happy day... . . . . . . .
